2019 Camp Rate $1000/week ($200/unit)

 Helping Hands, Inc. is offering our summer residential/vacation camp for individuals with intellectual disabilities.  

 

The program consists of eleven separate program weeks.

 

ALL WEEKS WILL BE BASED at the property in Rio Grande, New Jersey.

 

CAMP 

The CAMP program provides a variety of structured activities including arts and crafts, sports, music, swimming, games, cooking, and campfires, all during our themed weeks.

SHORE

The SHORE program is a vacation program that features trips to the Boardwalks, Wildwood,

Stone Harbor, Sunset Beach, Cape May Zoo, Family Nights in Ocean City, amusement park rides,

Atlantic City, the beaches and various other requested activities.

REGISTRATION

 Slots are completely reserved after confirmation is received from Laura McGinty, Camp Director.

 

-For participants who are not utilizing waiver funding, a deposit of $50.00 for each week is required by Helping Hands.

 

-Waiver-funded participants- Summer Program cost is now $200 per day. Please communicate this information to your Supports Coordinator. It is your responsibility to inform Helping Hands if you will be utilizing waiver funding for our summer programs. (Waiver funded participants are REQUIRED to have authorized service units available prior to attendance).

 

*Each week is open to participants 18+ and all weeks are $1000.00.

 

All registrations are at the discretion of Helping Hands, Inc.  

To avoid any confusion, Laura is the ONLY person who will make the reservations.

 NOTE: Registration requests for returning participants will be accepted through April 4, 2018. 

 

Registration for all new potential participants will begin on April 5, 2018.

 

Also, participants are able to register for one week of camp and one week of the shore program, so that other participants will have the opportunity to attend.  We will be happy to add names to a waiting list. 

 

Upon acceptance, participants will be sent an application packet that must be returned to the office no later than TWO WEEKS prior to your registered week.  You will then receive an acceptance letter and a packing list.

 

 *For private pay participants, FULL PAYMENT is required four weeks prior to your registered week.

  • Please complete all forms fully and with accurate information.
  • All participants MUST have a completed physical examination form signed by a licensed physician within one year prior to their arrival at camp.
  • Packing Lists will be sent approximately 2 weeks after receiving completed application.
  • We also need a photo of participant, and photocopies of insurance cards and identification card.
