Helping Hands, Inc. Work Activity Center (WAC) is designed to provide a well-rounded vocational training for disabled adults 21 and over with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. WAC program participants earn a paycheck while learning job skills and concepts. Through hands-on instruction, WAC program participants carry out contract work for area private companies.
Additionally, WAC program participants are involved in career exploration opportunities, community integration activities, and the development of daily living skills. Helping Hands, Inc’s WAC program endeavors to enrich the lives of people with disabilities by actively providing opportunities for independence and individual growth.
